Our approach to people development and leadership creates motivated, effective teams
capable of high performance. We are committed to leadership and technical training,
as well as support and development programmes for our graduates and technicians
because we understand that our people are essential for the company’s growth and

How do we measure staff satisfaction?
We listen to our people and act on their feedback. Each year we undertake a staff
satisfaction survey and the People Development Group, which consists of representatives
from each division in Capita Symonds, develop and manage an action plan from the
survey.

How do we co-ordinate and drive initiatives?
Capita Symonds has a People Development Group which consists of representatives
from around the business who meet every 2-3 months. In line with the company 2 Year
People Development Strategy, they look at building on and improving initiatives

Each year Capita Symonds hold the ‘Success Awards’ for all staff. The award catergories
cover Successful People, Successful Projects and Successful Performance
Construction Ambassadors
Capita Symonds encourage all graduates to become a Construction Ambassador. This
gives them the opportunity to motivate young people to consider construction as
a career path and develop their own skills.
