Failure of Contactors often means failure of Client. This course
teaches you how to engage competent contractors.
Who should attend?
- Anyone hiring a contractor to undertake work on their premises,
eg client bodies, project managers, facilities and production
managers, maintenance personnel
- Anyone with the job of supervising contractors or preparing
lists of approved contractors
- NB: This course has applications across all industries and is
not specific to those engaged in construction work
Objectives
- To understand corporate and personal responsibilities under
current health and safety law
- To better understand risk assessment and safe systems of
work
- To be able to assess competence of contractors and quantify
‘resources’ and ‘competence’
- To know what to do with contractors’ method statements
- To understand how to monitor performance
