Working Safely - How you can work safely and
effectively
Overview
Working Safely is a one-day course for staff from any sector
with no supervisory or managerial responsibility. It provides a
grounding in the essentials of health and safety – everyone at work
should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ and
this course offers exactly that. This IOSH Working Safely
course introduces a completely new approach to health and safety
training and offers all the basics in a high impact interactive
day.
Who should attend
Anyone at any level who needs a grounding in health and
safety.
Objectives
- To be able to carry out work activities without risk to
yourself or others
- Identify hazards, risks and risks controls
- Understand how to take appropriate workplace
precautions
- Appreciate the importance of a health & safety management
system.
- Learn lines of communication with respect to health &
safety in your place of work.
- Understand emergency, accident plans and procedures and how and
who to report accidents, incidents and near misses
- Understand how to minimise pollution and waste
