The project
Two Year 6 pupils in selected primary
schools in the participating local authorities undertake a wide
variety of activities to support road safety in and around their
school.
Two Year 5 pupils act as deputies and take
over as the school Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs)
when they are in Year 6. A Forum is held once a year to thank
the Year 6 pupils and encourage and enthuse the new JRSOs.
Typically, around 17 schools and over 60 pupils participate in
this Forum.
