The project
The demand for additional check-in
facilities at Dublin led DAA to identify an unused basement area as
a possible new Check-In zone.
The concept uses innovative lighting
techniques and materials normally used externally, such as
terracotta panels, to give the impression of natural daylight, as
if above ground.
The fast-track programme forced us to
investigate pre-fabrication and systems that could be installed
quickly. This extended to the ceiling/lighting units, check-in
desks and wall finishes.
