The project
Working on behalf of Merlin Estates Management, Capita Symonds
provided structural design for both the new build and refurbishment
aspects of this Student Accommodation and Residential Development
in Sheffield.
Refurbishment was carried out to convert a 20th Century church
building into individual rooms for Student Accommodation, as well
as creating a new building.
The Structural Form of the new build element of this project
consists of an In Situ Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frame utilizing
flat slab construction supported off RC columns.
