An Official Office of Government Commerce (OGC) Conference
The first post-election government conference on public
sector property, featuring Mike Burt, Director, Government Estate
Transformation, OGC
Government is making good progress on maximising the
opportunities, benefits and savings from its extensive central
civil property portfolio. This progress is reported annually to
Parliament in The State of the Estate Report. However Government
has been set an even greater challenge recently to get the best
from the public sector estate, which is to ensure that the public
sector works more collaboratively to deliver the most efficient and
effective estate possible, whether that is in respect of estate
reduction and rationalisation, better use of workspace and
exploiting opportunities for co-location and clustering, or through
the procurement of facilities management services.
This conference brings together key central and local government
decision makers and participants responsible for meeting this
challenge and for delivering a more efficient, effective and
sustainable public sector estate. It will provide delegates with
the latest progress and thinking on the improvements that are being
made. And as with previous OGC conferences, it provides delegates
with a unique opportunity to participate in first class
implementation workshops and to network during the day with a wide
range of public and private sector stakeholders.
Capita Symonds is an exhibitor at this event.
