Capita Symonds provides a
co-ordinated UK-wide Road Safety Audit service from
two Centres of Excellence in South Wales and Cumbria. Other
offices also provide Road Safety Audits in association with the
Centres of Excellence.
Audits are usually undertaken in accordance
with Standard HD 19/03, but local standards determined by client
authorities are also used when required. All auditors meet the
training and experience guidance set out in the Standard and liaise
with each other to provide a consistent approach to Audit
activities.
Audits have been undertaken at all stages, on
all classes of road from motorways to minor side roads and for all
types of highway improvement.
Our teams are currently working with others to
develop Quality Auditing processes as defined in the Manual for
Streets.
