Capita Symonds provides a
multidisciplinary service for guided transport systems including
heavy rail, metro, light rail and novel systems.
With a core of experienced rail engineers we
focus on providing the specialist skills required by major railway
clients. Strong design management expertise is supported by railway
specific design skills in permanent way, railway bridges and
structural engineering.
We are regularly commissioned by project
funders as technical advisors for major UK and international
railway schemes. We also frequently support developers wishing to
build adjacent to or over railways.
We carry out feasibility studies for new lines
and infrastructure enhancements, taking many of these schemes
through to design and supervision of construction on
site.
We are also able to advise clients on railway
regulations, Acts of Parliament and consents required for railway
schemes.
